First as plain binoculars these are first rate, bright, clear image with no aberration. This means the binoculars cannot be pointing up or down. You cannot adjust the eyepieces to fit your eye spacing, the only thing that matters is that the graticule is vertical and the compass horizontal. Then you will get a really accurate reading, good to a degree in my case.
